ESCAPADE Sports celebrates their second anniversary
Activities for the whole family
Escapade Sports opened its doors two years ago in Causeway Bay to provide sport enthusiasts a one-stop shop for all their sporting equipment. Two years later, it became one of the favorite sports stores in Hong Kong for the young and the old. Celebrating their second anniversary, from February 21 to March 6, 2011 Escapade Sports is showing their appreciation with special promotions, free seminars and contests for adults and children alike.
Throughout the two weeks (February 21-March 6, 2011), Escapade Sports has organized free talks on various subjects. The first talk will be held on Tuesday, February 22 at 7pm. Ross Eathorne educates the participants on “Sports Nutrition for Endurance races, recovery and training”. Hong Kong photographer and journalist Ho Fai Wong will be holding a talk in English and Chinese called “Ultra’s ain’t that hard – From race entourage onto the track” on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 (English) and Wednesday, March 2, 2011 (Cantonese). Dr. David Cosman will be educating parents and children on “Walking and Running for Children: Fundamentals that we missed out on”, which will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2011. The talks are free but as only 15 seats are available, a $100 deposit is required and will be refunded on the day with a $100 voucher that is redeemable at Escapade Sports.
For the youngsters, Escapade is holding Astrojax sessions on March 3 from 5-6pm and March 6 from 12-1pm for children 6 or older. Astrojax is a new genre of toy, which consists of three balls on a string; it’s a cross between traditional yoyo and juggling. Master Jennifer will show kids the basics of the fascinating game, which is all about action, rhythm and creativity.
Adults don’t need to feel left out, because Escapade Sports is also holding a Powerball competition. The Powerball is a dynamic device that helps strength training. It’s easy and fun to use. In order to join the competition, just simply come into the store and a staff will show you how it’s done. Anyone can try it! There will be a winner for the highest scores in Women and Men categories. The best part is, everyone who gives it a shot will be automatically qualified for Escapade Sports lucky draw.
The winner of the Escapade Sports lucky draw will have a chance to win a Garmin Forerunner 405CX (valued at HK$ 3,655), a pair of Vibram FiveFinger (valued at HK$ 1,050), or a Four course set dinner for two at the Brunch Club (valued at HK$ 545). To qualify for the lucky draw, all you have to do is to become a friend of Escapade Sports on Facebook page and to spin the Powerball.
